Join us at The Condensery for an artist talk and morning tea with Naomi McKenzie!Currently exhibiting work in The Condensery’s inaugural Harvest Biennial Volatile Terrain, Naomi McKenzie in her new work Elemental Reciprocity captures a Scar Tree on Dungibara Country. Rooted in the soils of Cressbrook Creek on the property of the Masters family, the tree symbolises the family’s sacred connections to Country, as well as their commitment to their multigenerational agricultural lands.
Joined by Vanessa Masters, come along to this artist talk to learn more about the installation, which merges new film photographs and pictures from the Masters family’s personal archive. Together Naomi and Vanessa will discuss the importance of the Scar Tree, while inviting us to reflect on our individual connections to place and the stories embedded in the land.
Registrations are essential for catering purposes.
