This experiential, multi-sensory installation reflects on the life of the artist’s mother, Magdalene, and the broader forces that shaped her journey-patriarchy, migration, and the passage of time. Born on the island of Skopelos and later immigrating to the United States after World War II, Magdalene’s story unfolds through sound, scent, sculpture, video, and painting, transforming personal memory into a deeply immersive artistic environment.
Guests are encouraged to experience the exhibition before and after the talk and engage in conversation with the artist.
Museum galleries open Tuesday–Saturday, 10 AM–5 PM.
