Artist Talk: Abbas Zahedi

SETAREH London is pleased to invite you to a special event as part of the exhibition Forces of Nature, featuring Abbas Zahedi, Emmanuel Awuni, and Jamiu Agboke, presented in collaboration with Harlesden High Street.

Join us for a conversation with Abbas Zahedi about his participatory work 11&9 — an opportunity to explore the ideas behind the piece and connect with its evolving process.

11&9 is presented as both an archive and a symbolic space of categorisation.
Twenty editions of Zahedi’s biographical records are housed within a vintage filing cabinet. Visitors are invited to take part in an act of exchange — each portfolio may be traded for an object of equivalent significance, small enough to fit within an A4 drawer.

As these offerings accumulate, the rigid visual order transforms into a living organism shaped by collective contribution — a reflection on value, reciprocity, and memory.

If you wish to participate in the exchange, you may still submit an object until 22 November, or until all folders have been exchanged.
