IFG is open 6 days a week, excluding holidays. 11-6 -Tuesday - Saturday.

This session is all about Optical-Art. (This is the ONLY style we will be instructing during the class)

Learn to plan the flat FUSE then SLUMP it to create the illusion! For 8 yrs old and up.

During the class, you’ll learn about the artists like Julian Stanczak, Victor Vasarely, and Bridget Riley who took tricks of the eye and turned it into one of the 1960’s most engaging art movements. Then you’ll see how it can be adapted into a glass fusing style and technique.

In this 2 hour class, our artist instructors guide you through the design process, the glass prep of cutting, nipping, edging, layout, proper portions, and even in this info, allow you to create and plan for a shallow vessel. We have three different optical designs to choose between, each using a different design and planning process ..You decide in-studio which one you want to create..and we help you get to the end of your introductory fusing/slumping project.

The classes are small and comfy. Attire is casual. However you are learning to cut and edge fusible glass.

Our fusing/slumping studio is at the curb on Brookside Ave. Free and ground level parking is straight across from our Studio Entry. (open 6 days a week) Tuesday thru Sunday.
