We will demonstrate proper lighting and staging techniques, as well as digital camera advice.OPTIONAL: Bring your pieces that are no larger than 24″ x 30″ to the session and receive expert guidance from Richmond Media Lab staff on lighting, composition, and digital photography techniques.

About the Presenter:
Alisha Weng is a multidisciplinary artist based on the traditional, unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. Working primarily in photography and digital media, her practice explores themes of cultural, identity, and documentation photography. Alisha works at the Richmond Media Lab as an instructor and Youth Outreach Worker.

Located within the Richmond Cultural Centre Annex, the Richmond Media Lab is a safe, accessible hub to explore and cultivate media arts skills that support personal and professional development. The space is well-equipped with computers, cameras and many types of digital equipment and software to offer seasonal programs in animation, digital illustration, video editing, 3D printing and more. Throughout the year, Richmond Media Lab offers classes and workshops in the digital arts on topics such as animation, illustration, 3D printing, photography, and digital crafting for various ages.
About RAGA Artist Salon Series:
The Artist Salon Series features art professionals leading inspirational artist talks and professional development for visual artists each month from February to November.
