Calling all Portrait artists! Interested in participating in Locust Street Art’s brand new fundraiser Portrait-a-thon but not sure you can complete a work in time? Already signed up and just looking to practice your portrait painting skills? Join us on March 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 at Locust Street Art to get ready for the main event! Bring your art materials of choice and spend time working on portraits based on real live models. Get to know your fellow artists, sharpen up your skills, and hang out at the community based art school you’ll be supporting with your time. Pizza will be provided!

Accessibility
Locust Street Art is located in a historic building with eight steps to access our main entrance. A side entrance is available for students with limited mobility—this entrance has four steps to access our main hallway. We are currently fundraising to make our building more accessible. Please contact us if you have concerns related to accessibility so we can try to make accommodations. Limited free parking is available on the street.
About Portrait-a-thon
Come for the art, stay for the vibe, and leave with a portrait that gives back! For one evening only, you’ll have the chance to receive a custom portrait by a local artist while directly supporting free community art classes at Locust Street Art.Choose from a $50 caricature, $100 30-minute portrait, or a $200 1-hour portrait, with artists assigned at random—making every portrait a surprise experience! Artists will work on the portraits live during the event in mediums ranging from watercolor to charcoal drawing.
