Artist Notes returns to The Corner this summer with FREE nights of music and storytelling. More than an outdoor concert, it’s a deep dive into the craft; our curators sit down with featured artists to explore the stories behind the lyrics and the pivotal moments of their careers.
On August 7, Joseph Terrell takes the stage:
Joseph Terrell grew up in a big Quaker family in the Piedmont and spent the last 10 years writing and singing with folk quartet Mipso. With stripped-down string arrangements and mystical lyricism, Terrell brings Americana to a new level.

- Parking: Free!
- Amenities: Local food trucks will be on-site.
- What to Bring: Camp chairs, leashed dogs, and coolers with beer or wine are all welcome. Personal bags, coolers subject to search.
Timing: Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and music starts at 7:00 p.m.
Location: The Corner at NC State's Centennial Campus is located at 941 Main Campus Drive, Raleigh NC 27606. Free parking is available along Main Campus Drive and Oval West Deck (1017 Main Campus Drive).
