Artist Morning at Rancho Los Alamitos

Saturday, March 28, 2026

Drop-in anytime between 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM; Last admittance at 12:00 PM

RSVP recommended. Suggested $10 donation at the door. Free onsite parking.

Calling all art enthusiasts! Join us for a relaxing morning with access to our grounds before our public hours. Bring your own art supplies and be inspired by the Rancho's historic barns and gardens. Art supplies can include watercolors, oil paints, sketchbooks, digital devices, etc. The Rancho will provide extra accommodations to safely dispose of any water and trash after the session. If available, you can bring your own chair, easels, and/or blankets.

Participants can arrive any time between 10 AM and 12:00 PM, as there is no structured programming and art instruction.

Call for Submissions (Optional)

The Rancho would love to see what you create while on our site. We are looking for art that best captures the Rancho's essence. If you choose to participate, you can submit your work afterward for a chance to have your art selected for new Museum Store merchandise. Please note that submission does not guarantee selection, and that selected work may be licensed for retail use. More details will be sent after your RSVP.

Pop-Up Coffee Cart

Our monthly pop-up coffee cart will be on-site, selling beverages and pastries. You can choose to purchase food and drinks before or after your art session.

Land Acknowledgement

Rancho Los Alamitos is located on the ancestral and unceded land of the Gabrielino/Tongva people, who cared for this land for thousands of years and continue to do so today. The Rancho sits atop the village of Puvuun’nga -- “the gathering place” -- the sacred site of creation for the Tongva/Gabrielino peoples. Learn more by visiting gabrielinotribe.org.
