The Friends are delighted to bring back Artist in the Garden for its fourth year, a day where creativity spills out onto the paths, lawns, and leafy corners of the garden. Grab your sketchbook or paints and settle in for a relaxed, open-air art session surrounded by nature.How it works
• Register on the day at the Treehouse Visitor Centre & Shop
• Briefing at 10.30am
• Free to enter
Choose your category:
• Ages 3–10
• Ages 11–16
• Adults
From 11am to 2pm, head out into the garden and create your own landscape artwork. Find a favourite spot, follow the light, or let the plants surprise you 🌿
What to bring
• Your own art materials (all supplies are the artist’s responsibility)
• Paper up to A3 size
What you can use
• Pencil (including water-soluble, pastel, graphite, charcoal, coloured pencils)
• Paint (watercolour or acrylic)
• Please note: no oil paints
At 2pm, artworks are displayed for everyone to enjoy. Each category will be judged, with small prizes awarded. A big thank you to Gordon Harris for generously sponsoring the prizes and helping make the day extra special.
Rain or shine, the creativity continues. If the weather turns, you’re welcome to work from the Treehouse Seminar Room.
