In collaboration with Kalamazoo RESA’s Education for the Arts and dozens of local arts organizations, the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo is thrilled to present the 2nd annual “job fair” Artist Happy Hour – Creative Expo: Jobs, Opportunities, and Collaborations happening on Sunday, February 16 from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Epic Center downtown Kalamazoo. Artists and creatives of all backgrounds are invited to hear from arts organizations that offer paid opportunities for artists, teachers, technicians, and arts administrators.This is a FREE casual event where you’ll have plenty of time to learn about the participating organizations and ask questions about the opportunities. Following the event, you’ll be connected directly to the organizations so they can begin the hiring process. At the first event in February 2024, the participating organizations hired over twenty artists for their open opportunities.
Doors open at 1:30 pm and a brief introduction will begin promptly at 2:00 pm. A special prize for attending every organization’s stop will be awarded to each attendee. All people who RSVP in advance will also be invited to a resume-building workshop following the event, so you’ll be as prepared as possible for the next steps!
