Leaves are one of the first characteristics used to identify trees, but by learning to use other parts of the tree like buds, leaf scars, bark, and branching patterns, participants can develop the skills to identify trees even in winter when leaves are gone. Join us for winter tree identification at Delano farm where we will begin inside the farmhouse for a short presentation and then move outside to the trails for some identification practice. Participants, please meet in Delano Farm parking lot to begin your program.Fee: $7/Member, $10/Non-member, includes KNC admission.
Registration Deadline: Please register so we can plan for materials; day-of participants are welcome if the program is not at capacity. https://naturecenter.org/programs/know-your-nature/
