About this Event
Join us for a special event featuring Bernie Toale! A lifelong artist and gardener, Bernie has been deeply immersed in the art world for decades. Bernie finds daily inspiration in clay and handmade objects. Here’s more about his journey, in his own words:
I’ve been involved in the art world my whole life, first as the co-owner of Rugg Road Papers in Allston/Somerville with Joe Zina, and then as the owner of the Bernard Toale Gallery in Boston’s South End. I make my work at the Harvard Ceramics Program and I’m the President of the Board of Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts in mid coast Maine. Clay and the ceramics world is essential to my daily life. It gives me structure and great satisfaction. As a lifelong gardener, it also gives me great satisfaction to use the things that I make around the house. Handmade objects add a level of humanity to all that see them and are essential for my well being. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do.
