Although viewers may see some works in this exhibition as abstract, all the works have representational departure points. Lottering reacts to current significant environmental events such as out-of-control wildfires, planet alignment and war. To prompt viewers to reflect on such transformative events, he utilizes imagery of erupting volcanoes, bridges, drones, insects, burning trees, explosions and platforms.
