About this Event

Join us every last Tuesday of the month on Zoom for ‘???infusion Socials’, from 8-9 PM BST! These sessions are informal and will be led by two of ???infusion’s founders each month. We invite you to practice some mindfulness, talk about art and creativity, and share experiences.
The Socials are open to everyone; you can drop in to any session without any prior experience with us. They also provide a perfect opportunity for previous workshop participants to reconnect. Whether you’ve attended our workshops before or not, let’s spread our love for art and stay connected!

Tuesday, 30th July: Grief through Mindfulness and Artmaking ?️✨?

This session is led by Buse and Zelda. You are invited to discuss an artwork and engage in mindfulness and an art-therapy-based activity. Feel free to bring and share your own creations or any artworks that have moved you, touching on the theme of grief.

Facilitators:

Zelda Elliott: My background is in visual art, writing, shopkeeping and teaching English to speakers of other languages (ESOL), all in community settings. I am an HCPC registered art therapist with a private practice online and in-person. I currently work as wellbeing officer in adult education. All work is underpinned by psychological safety and theoretical innovation.

Buse Yıldırım: Blending a fine arts and film background with a career spanning media roles in Istanbul to talent management, I've always pursued a passion for creativity and wellbeing. In London in 2019, I founded a digital marketing firm and deepened my wellbeing journey by becoming a yoga teacher in 2020, followed by completing internationally accredited mindfulness and compassion trainings. As the co-founder of Artinfusion, I now fuse mindfulness, compassion, nature, and art, aiming to enhance wellbeing for individuals and communities alike.

Sabine Casparie: I worked as a lawyer before making a career change into art, completing a Postgraduate Diploma in art history and a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Art. Since then I have led contemporary art tours in London and contemporary art engagement sessions in the museum, the classroom and on Zoom. I teach art history at Morley College and work as a collection consultant for CW+, the charity that owns and manages the art collection of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Having been hospitalised for depression, and finding healing in engagement with art, it is my passion to look at artworks together to improve mental wellbeing.
