Event Overview
This course will provide a detailed overview of artificial intelligence and augmented intelligence (AI) in dentistry. Participants will learn key AI terminology and how machine learning models are developed. The course covers the transformative impact of AI on both clinical and non-clinical workflows including: alleviating administrative burdens , improving claim processing, and enhancing the patient experience. The American Dental Association (ADA) "Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct" will be reviewed, and the course will share how the ADA Principles and our core values are critical to ethical integration of AI in dentistry. Additionally, the course will explore emerging trends and future applications as professional and regulatory standards are being developed.
Course Objectives

- Share current use of AI in both clinical and non-clinical areas and how this is revolutionizing office workflows, protocols, and treatment plans
- Review the ADA Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct and applying the Code to AI use in dentistry
