Together with the Ladies’ Library Association, we invite you to this multidisciplinary presentation in connection to Michigan artist Betty Beeby. Through the visual arts, music, and dance, we will examine Beeby’s long-reaching artistic influence, inspired by the story of the Petersboro Letters. When letters are unearthed in the family barn detailing a long-lost relationship between mother and son in the early 1900s, Beeby is inspired to create lithographs highlighting significant moments in their correspondence. This story would go on to create a domino effect of inspiration, represented not only in visual art but also rendered powerfully through music and dance. We are excited to share more about the artist, her work, and the art that others have been inspired to create from this compelling story. Refreshments will be provided by the Ladies’ Library Association.
