About this Event
Program Overview
Egg decorating is one of the oldest forms of surface design, rooted in tradition, symbolism, and craft across cultures. In this artist-led workshop, we’ll reimagine that tradition through a contemporary, design-focused lens.
Led by Georgina of Studio Big Rock, this hands-on session introduces participants to a curated set of egg decorating techniques, including Pysanky-inspired patterning, wax resist methods, and natural dye processes created from kitchen-based materials. Participants will explore layering, composition, and mark-making while creating a small collection of uniquely finished eggs.
Georgina incorporates hand-harvested greenery and thoughtfully sourced materials, grounding the experience in seasonality and intentional making. Each participant will leave with a set of finished pieces that feel both personal and refined.
This workshop is designed for adults and older children interested in slowing down and engaging in a focused creative process. Whether attending solo or with others, participants can expect a calm, studio-like environment that encourages experimentation and thoughtful design.
