On our way to this prestigious poster shop in the city, I have created a short walking tour itinerary. Since it is kinda cold outside, we will only be walking approximately 2 blocks, starting at the historic Jefferson Market Courthouse Library (see photo) and its unexpected Victorian Gothic architecture. The clocktower, dubbed the Fireman's Tower, stands 100 feet tall and alerted the volunteer firemen with a bell and uninterrupted view of the city. Also learn about its history of when it was the site of the "Trial of the Century" for the infamous M**der of GIlded Age architect Stanford White. There is so much beauty and history packed into this landmark building, it definitely worth a visit. We will also stroll past some sites that made Greenwich Village the artful center of NYC in the early 20th century from artist homes and studios to an art gallery that was grand-breaking during its heyday.
