Here is a description of all the sites to see together:

We start the tour at the historically significant home and studio of sculptor Chaim Gross, This artist and his wife moved to Greenwich Village and converted a modest building into an incredible private space that is now open to the public. Visitors are now welcome to see their home furnished just as they left it, along with a robust art collection and new exhibition space. The best part is walking into his unexpectedly large light-filled art studio complete with many of his own sculptures and tools on view. The guided tour brings everything to life!

Then, practically across the street, is a monumental sculpture by Picasso. The particular model of this piece stands out from many of his muses and I will share the tale of the lovely Sylvette with you. A very short walk away will bring us to a building that is now part of the NYU campus. In 1911, one of the worst American tragedies took place inside - the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. I have a special interest in this subject because my husband is a family descendant of one of the young immigrant women who perished that day. This year, a thoughtful memorial has finally been unveiled to honor the fire victims and that this pivotal event inspired major change in US labor and safety laws that we have today. I have often lectured on this historic topic, my personal connection and the design of the memorial straight from one of its architects.

After that, we venture a short distance to Washington Square Park. Designed by Stanford White in 1891, the Washington Square Arch is still an architectural treasure and the centerpiece of the park. I have a lot of information and some fun secrets to tell the group about this monument. For the artful finale, all we have to do is turn around and see the facade of "The Row", an impressive row of brick townhouses with a famous tenant - artist Edward Hopper! Hopper and his wife lived modestly there for years and had great affection for Greenwich Village.
