About this Event

Would you like time set aside to make your own art? Are you looking for a welcoming community of artists and creators? Would you appreciate mentorship/coaching to guide you through all aspects of your art practice - from making to marketing?

This is a studio class for creators of all levels where your individual needs are supported. Led by professional artists and seasoned educators Lea Anderson and Ivan Boyd for over 15 years, ArtFix offers valuable feedback, mentorship, tips and suggestions for whatever you want to work on. Participants can build a body of work, experiment with new materials/techniques, evolve and complete projects, prepare for exhibitions, and more. Class sessions include plenty of time to make your work independently.

During the first class of the session, your Teaching Artists Lea and Ivan will meet one-on-one with you to get to know you and your work on a deep level and identify your goals. In subsequent classes, they will continue meeting one-on-one with you for part of each class to check in, answer questions, give valuable feedback, and help further your progress. The last night of the session will feature a lively, in-depth, supportive group critique with Lea and all participants.

To support artists in establishing a rhythm, ArtFix runs in four 8-week sessions and one 6-week summer session throughout the year. Students may elect to attend the full 8-week session or register for the 5-week option. However, if you anticipate needing some flexibility in your schedule, drop-in class option allows you to choose which classes you join. If you are curious about ArtFix, join us for one class session with our drop-in option!

This fun, friendly, unique atmosphere will provide opportunities for creative growth, artistic discussion, and community networking. Make time for this important part of your life!
