Sets 7pm & 9pmThe brainchild of pianist and composer Renee Rosnes, ARTEMIS is a powerful ensemble of modern virtuosos. Named for the Greek goddess of the hunt, the multinational, multigenerational quintet features pianist Renee Rosnes, trumpeter Ingrid Jensen, tenor saxophonist Nicole Glover, bassist Noriko Ueda, and drummer Allison Miller. After experiencing an ARTEMIS live show at the Newport Jazz Festival, Blue Note President Don Was signed the band to the label. Artemis’s 3rd recording for the label, ARBORESQUE was released in early 2025, and remained atop the Jazzweek National Radio Charts for a full 5 weeks. The music is testament to the group’s evolving musical landscape and features stellar arrangements and riveting originals contributed by all members of the band.
