About this Event
Are you ready to frame your perspective into a legacy?
Welcome to Photovoice 2.0, a workshop series designed to bridge the gap between visual photography, the power of spoken word, and personal wellness. This is your invitation to a creative sanctuary where your photos and words become your voice. Over 6 intensive sessions, you will work alongside renowned facilitators to explore your identity and our community’s shared stories. You will learn to pair your imagery with storytelling to create a collaborative zine and showcase your work in a public exhibition. ✨
Journey:
- Photography : Learn photography visual techniques from artist Joseph Wong (Apr 26 [Sat], May 3 [Sun] ).
- Storytelling & Poetry: Craft your narrative with spoken word artist Patrick de Belen (May 9 [Sat] , 16 [Sat]).
- Zine-making: Create DIY, self-published booklets that combine photography, art, and writing into a handmade community magazine (May 23[Sat] , July 04 [Sat]).
- The Grand Finale showcase: Showcase your story! Exhibit your work in public spaces and launch a collective zine to keep your journey alive.
