About this Event
On March 7th, a host artist will be guiding a group on creating anthotypes utilizing the nature surrounding Goat House Farm. Guests will also have the opportunity to interact with the goats! All necessary materials will be provided (covered in the cost of the session), but guests are permitted to bring specific papers, fabrics (must be light colored, natural fibers), or items they'd like to try printing with. Every guest will leave the experience with one or several pieces of personal artwork!
Though this session is instructional, our aim is to have FUN! We embrace the playfulness and unexpected nature of interacting and creating with the animals. Let a therapeutic effect wash over you as you spend just a few hours immersed in art, goats, and nature.
All ages and developmental abilities are welcome and embraced here. However, individuals younger than 12 should be accompanied by an adult. This activity is perfect for families, adolescents and adults to work with their hands. Our artist has experience with adaptive techniques to meet all guests where they are at.
Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dirt on... or color! As this session is our inaugural Art with the Herd, class duration, size, and content may change with feedback moving forward.
NOTE: the length of this session may not allow for the completion of the chemical process with sunlight. Guests may need to finish the anthotype process at home by laying their work in the sun for 1-4 more hours, then drenching the paper in a bath for 30 seconds. Materials and instructions for this will be provided.
