About this Event

What happens when art doesn’t just sit still, but moves?

Art That Moves is a teen-led stop motion art challenge where creativity, storytelling, and teamwork come together. In this hands-on session, teens will explore how to bring drawings, objects, and scenes to life using simple stop motion techniques.

You don’t need experience, just curiosity and creativity. Teens will work individually or in small groups to design short stop motion clips that express ideas, emotions, or stories in a fun and approachable way.

This session is about experimenting, learning together, and trying something new in a supportive, judgment-free space.

What to Expect:
  • Learn the basics of stop motion animation
  • Create a short moving art piece using simple tools
  • Collaborate, problem-solve, and experiment creatively
  • Share your creation with the group if you choose

All materials will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring a phone or device if they’d like, but it’s not required.

Date: January 21
Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: SoFive XL Soccer Lake Nona

This youth-focused experience is designed for preteens and teens who enjoy art, creativity, and thinking outside the box, no pressure, just movement and imagination.
