Live Music & Art Fair at The CheckpointRoland is hosting a benefit show for his birthday to help raise money for charities with the help of local artists & small businesses at The Checkpoint Bar.
ENTRY FEE
- $10 (cash and mobile payment apps will be accepted!)
- $5 with inclusion of donation items! Examples would be: nonperishable food items that aren't expired, gift baskets, toiletries, winter weather clothes, cleaning/laundry products, children's clothing, school supplies, etc! No donation is too big or too small!
2PM - 6PM: ART FAIR. The beginning half of this event will be an art fair! We will have multiple artists selling all sorts of wonderful items! There will be various snacks and drinks available as well, provided by local community members and small businesses.
You'll receive a raffle ticket upon entry. There will be various raffle baskets to choose from, more details on that coming soon! The raffles will be called at 6 right before the music starts!
ENTERTAINMENT
Music begins at 6:30pm! This year we have an incredible lineup of local music, so be ready to move! Follow the acts on social and support them however you're able to;
kweelag - a lovely trio from Chicago; Kweelag takes notes from their previous projects and creates catchy and profoundly crashing sounds with them. Upbeat energy, catchy riffs, relatable lyrics and themes….you’re in for a swell time.

familiar - a “super group” of sorts lead by Roland, accompanied by members of Dingus., Mangata and Eylia to create a somber and ethereal emo sound you’ve never experienced before.

Mangata - “Mangata is the future” is exactly the words that best describe this band. A cutting edge group of kids who pour themselves into their music…and you’ll hear it in every beat. They take what our emo ancestors cultivated and package it up in a new and refreshing way. Keep an eye on these kids, they’re gonna be huge one day I promise you.
