About this Event
Interplay is thrilled to introduce their inaugural show “A Long Conversation” at, featuring the works of (1995), a Manchester-based painter, who is unveiling his works to the public for the first time.
Winsby's artistic journey is deeply personal, emerging as a tool for processing trauma, relationship challenges, and profound loss. This body of work reflects a commitment to authenticity, with each piece serving as a testament to the power of art as a form of meditation, a vehicle for translating emotional turbulence into relatable and tangible expressions.
The painter’s creative process draws from a multitude of influences, seamlessly weaving together a subdued, natural colour palette of mixed media, with the unifying presence of the colour blue. This artistic choice not only establishes a calming atmosphere but also introduces dynamic, almost chaotic movements and faintly recognisable shapes, resulting in a poetic landscape of subconscious thoughts.
