Art of Being: Quantum Entanglement through Dance

(Dance creation workshop with an Informal Showing at the end on Sat, Feb 14, 2 pm)

Ayako has been caught by Quantum Entanglement right now to reflect it on dance. Please join every Saturday to explore your dance or start to build your own dance/dance work through a fully and deeply improvised one or an early stage choreographic piece which has an experimental nature in any realm between composition and improvisation. It could be a solo or duo. We will start from a warm up which will strengthen our logical and creative dance mind-body in a non-linear manner inspired by principles in the universe such as quantum entanglement, cyclical motion in nature, and somatic studies. The content of the warm up will be responsive to and useful for each and all participant(s) to practice. The second half of the workshop will be creation time. (Participants who drop in, please bring your own inquiry and enjoy Ayako’s and others’ response.) Ayako will lead you on a journey, listening to and watching you. I hope everyone will perform by inviting some of your friends for the last showing at the 2nd floor auditorium (not at the 3rd floor loft). Yet, assuming some of you could be shy, it’s up to you how you would like to participate (e.g. you could help me/others in any manner). I am hoping to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies together on the last showing day after the performance on the Valentine’s Day!!

Early Bird: $90 (all 5 sessions + informal showing on Sat, February 14)

Single Drop in: $16-20 (sliding scale)
