Join Us For This Two Day Event Celebrating the Art & Poetry Connection!This annual collaboration between the Art Club of McKinney and the Mockingbird Poetry Society highlights the inspiring exchange between art and poetry. Artists and poets are paired to create pieces based on each other’s work, forming the heart of this event.
✨ Last Year’s Highlights:
Showcased 40 pairings to over 280 attendees
Raised $680 for local charities
Featured live poetry readings, artist insights, and meaningful community connections
🎨 Art Contest & Raffle:
This year’s winning artist, Myryn Elizabeth Clark, will have her stunning pastel piece, "Going Home," featured on all promotional materials. The original artwork will be raffled during the event, with proceeds benefiting local charities.
🎟️ Raffle Tickets:
Tickets will be available for purchase on both Friday and Saturday, with the winner announced at the close of Saturday’s event. Payment can be made via cash, card, or QR code.
🏆 People’s Choice Award:
Vote for your favorite art and poetry pairing! Voting will take place on Friday and Saturday, with the winner announced at the close of Saturday’s showcase.
💖 Support Local Charities:
During the event, you’ll also have the opportunity to donate to three local charities that make a meaningful impact in our community.
