Words are great but sometimes we want to express things using more than one medium.
In this creative session, Beverley Ward will introduce some basic art-journalling techniques to enhance your journalling journey. Using collage, paint, found poetry and simple handmade books, you'll leave the session with some new tools to add to your journalling toolbox.
A great follow-on session if you've been taking part in Rachel Mills's journalling sessions at The Writers Workshop, but this session is suitable for anyone.
All materials will be provided, but do feel free to bring old journals, draft poems and any collaging images that you might want to include.
About your facilitator
Beverley Ward is a poet, novelist and memorist but for the last year or so she's been branching out into other creative pursuits and, though she is not an expert, she's so enthused about art journalling that she wanted to share her joy.
The Writers Workshop is a nonprofit social enterprise on a mission to spread the joy and power of creative writing. .
