“There is a season for everything under heaven.” And it is the season for Art Journaling classes at Riverside Art Center! Why settle for being bored, depressed, and lonely this winter when you could get out of your pajamas and come to my journaling classes? We have a lot of fun, and it would be time well spent with friends, while learning something new in each class. Reply to this email to register or stop in at Riverside when you are in Wapak. There is a class limit so don’t wait too long!
Art Journaling has grown in popularity over the past 20+ years and includes so many different techniques which makes it so versatile and appealing to so many people. We will explore this variety of techniques in these winter classes: painting & gel printing, collaging, drawing, fussy cutting, fodder making, origami, collage strips, hidden paper clips, journal cards & tags, and two different mini file folders. We will use your own journals (from previous classes or new) or altered books (old or new) and strive to create lots of new pages. As a bonus, we will also make a small shipping tag journal. There will be a supply list for each class, and you will be responsible for bringing your own supplies. However, I will have papers for each person’s collage strips in case you’re not sure what to bring.
Class #1 (February 5) – Collage Strips
Please bring these supplies: Your journal, one 12” x 12” cardstock scrapbook sheet, glue stick (Elmer’s Permanent Craft Bond), pencil, ruler, scissors, paper cutter, stickers &/or labels (in subjects you like), interesting paper scraps (scrapbook paper remnants). I will bring lots of old book pages, scrapbook paper, fodder, and focal points to share.
