Art House Theater Day is an annual nationwide celebration of independent and specialty cinemas, designed to highlight the cultural, social and creative contributions of art houses in local communities. Participating independent theaters, like Salem Cinema, will host special screenings and exclusive programming. Filmmaker and musician Boots Riley serves as the official 2026 ambassador. Please plan to take the day to celebrate Salem Cinema, Art House Theaters and everything we represent to the community!
