Discover Impressionism's key themes from serene natural landscapes to the dynamic energy of city life and learn how Impressionist artists reimagined their surroundings. We shall also examine some of the fascinating cross-cultural exchanges that enriched the movement's scope. There will be opportunity to engage directly with examples from Northampton Museums and Art Gallery’s collection that capture the essence of Impressionist innovation and interpretation. Whether you are a seasoned attender or a curious newcomer, this course promises a rich experience that will deepen your appreciation for one of the most influential movements in art history.
