May 9 – Luscious Landscapes – Joan LarsonFour hours of fun learning the basics of Landscape Painting in Pastel!
We will cover: trees, trees and more trees; how to use your greens for believable landscapes; how to create distance and depth through Atmospheric Perspective; Basic Perspective; Skies and Clouds. We will focus on learning the above techniques and then apply it to a full landscape painting. Spot demos can be done upon request. Photo reference will be provided.

About the Instructor: Joan is a working professional artist with many years of shows, awards and accreditations on her resume. She works primarily in soft pastel and is best known for her equine and landscape artworks. Two of her major series of works include the ground-breaking “Musical Ride Series” and “The Wilds Horses of Sable Island.”
