Art for Mindfulness @ Pakenham Library

Do you want the opportunity to join like-minded people in a friendly and supporting environment? Are you interested in taking some time out and maybe even getting the opportunity to know yourself a little better?

These sessions will provide a space for you to choose your own (artistic) adventure. Whether you want to brush away the week and work on mindfulness-based art exercises or take the opportunity to explore the areas of your life that are most important to you, then these sessions are for you!

Session schedule:

First and fourth Thursday of the month - these sessions will allow you to choose between a number of art therapy and art-as-mindfulness activities, to fit the kind of experience you're interested in.

A variety of art materials and activities will be made available to help you easily participate in any session you attend.

There will also be opportunities to discuss ideas and share thoughts with the group, as well as the art therapy facilitator, however sharing and contributing to discussions is optional.

If you haven't participated in art therapy before or if you don't consider yourself "artistic" - that's ok. No art making skill or experience is required. All are welcome.

Registration is not compulsory, but is preferred.
