Create wonderful edible art using chiffon cake as your canvas!
Flavor of Cubism draws inspiration from early 20th-century Cubism, pioneered by artists such as Picasso and Braque, who challenged the idea of a single, fixed perspective. Instead of presenting objects as they appear, Cubism revealed them as layered, fractured, and reassembled viewpoints.
In this workshop, dessert becomes the medium for that philosophy. We invite participants to explore the idea that we are all made of fragments—of emotions, memories, and perceptions. This hands-on dessert workshop transforms the act of making into an exploration of identity and perspective. Just as Cubist artists broke forms apart and reassembled them, participants compose their own edible artworks from distinct flavors, textures, and shapes. It is a sweet experiment in perception and creation, reflecting how life itself is built from pieces we continuously gather and reinterpret.
Ingredients featured include chiffon cake, persimmons, peaches, pistachio, chestnut, passionfruit, plums, caramel sea salt, and Earl Grey.
