Welcome to Thursday Night Art Club at Helm Gallery! Join us for this fun and creative in-person event, designed to let your artistic side shine! Mingle with fellow art enthusiasts and get creative with the art materials provided. This is the perfect opportunity to start a new weekly art practice in the heart of Brighton surrounded by contemporary art. So whether you're an experienced creative, or a complete beginner, we welcome everyone to connect and tap into their creative flow!
During the evening we will explore mark-making, collage and visual experimentation, focussing on the playfulness of the creative process. A chance to unwind, socialise, and leave perfectionism at the door!
- There will be a new project to follow along to each week, which will help you explore the materials. Guests are always welcome to follow along or use the time to create in their own way.
- We also have an area of the Gallery set up with paper, pens and drawing boards for anyone who would like to use their time to focus on life drawing - Draw people creating art, surrounded by Contemporary Works and beautiful plants.
All art materials will be provided by Amy from Cult Milk, so all you need to do is turn up on the night! If you would like to bring your own sketchbook to work from, then please do!
- Please bring a weather appropriate bag to take your work home.
- A limited number of aprons are available upon request.
This 2 hour session will run from 7pm - 9pm and the venue will remain open until 11pm, so please do stay on and enjoy the gallery and bar whilst we pack away the art supplies.
