Art Circles

Welcome to Art Circles - a gathering of artists, creatives, and art appreciators! Join us for a morning filled with creativity, inspiration, connection, and, ultimately, healing in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. This event is about celebrating art through the discovery of your creative essence and connection to others. Do you recall playing with art without inhibitions, judgment, or parameters? Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting, there's something for everyone at Art Circles.

We will open with a brief introduction, a centering exercise, and share how we are caring for ourselves and others through these unprecedented times. Our first circle will include watercolor, paints for illuminating healing colors with natural materials, and recyclables. Join us, and let's create some art magic together! Materials are provided; feel free to bring brushes, watercolor paper, watercolors, and unique materials. A portion of the proceeds will go to 12 Baskets Cafe's poverty initiative and our generous hosts for the event. 12 Baskets provides hot meals and groceries 4 days a week and seeks to build community and promote social and economic justice. The remaining will go to art materials and expanding our project to connect, create, and enjoy....let's see where this takes us!

Suggested donation is $20-$50+ no one will be turned away for lack of funds, and you are also free to donate without attending to support a participant or this project (please note, if you're not attending in-person). Although this is primarily for 18+ teens, those accompanied by their parents are also welcome. We hope to offer all-age-specific and group events in the future as our circle expands. This is a substance-free event promoting well-being for creatives, artists, and those seeking to be inspired in a supportive environment. With Love, ~Jess & Christine
