Join us for a creative summer experience for area children!
Art Camp offers a fun summer program for children in the La Porte area, providing them with an engaging hands-on visual arts experience. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Cummings Lodge within Soldiers Memorial Park, right by the shores of Stone Lake, participants will immerse themselves in a variety of artistic endeavors.
Throughout Art Camp, students will engage in daily artistic experiments. They might paint in the style of a renowned artist, collaborate on group projects or embark on short hikes to discover the perfect landscapes to sketch. Each day introduces a new topic aimed at sparking the creativity and imagination of young artists.
Instructors focus on fostering creativity, encouraging experimentation and promoting artistic exploration. Students will acquire skills in diverse techniques such as drawing, painting, paper mache, printmaking and more.
Afternoon sessions are designed to offer more advanced challenges tailored for slightly older students. These classes provide opportunities to delve deeper into fine art mediums, exploring various styles and techniques while incorporating formal elements of creative art-making.
Art Camp not only nurtures the artistic abilities of children but also provides them with the chance to express themselves creatively in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Art Camp is scheduled for two sessions.
Session One
June 8-18, 2026 Monday-Thursday
Session Two
July 6-16, 2026 Monday-Thursday
