About the Exhibit - "Buildings" are one-of-a-kind clay objects that embody the artists' fascination with urban landscapes and brutalist architecture. Inspired by the gritty charm of apartment buildings and neighborhoods in cities like Berlin and Cairo, the latest series ‘Big City Life’, marks the third release in the Buildings collection and the first to feature clustered structures, forming intricate cityscapes with rooftop terraces and staircases. ‘Buildings’ showcases the artist's ability to transform raw clay into evocative representations of urban life, blending artistry with architectural inspiration, and underscoring the unique character of each piece.
About the Gallery - Kleine Gallery is three windows in the Schinkel District located at Vliegtugstraat 11, a small space, that holds big art! The Schinkel District believes art and design should be accessible to all, and can be displayed in interesting and surprising ways.
Curation of the gallery is led by Jacqui Dolan.
