ART & SOUL: Hamptons celebrates art created by influential and emerging Black and Brown artists living within The Hamptons and beyond.
About this Event


is a weekend festival designed to highlight, showcase, and celebrate art created by influential and emerging Black and Brown artists living within the Hampton community, and beyond. The series of experimental events will encourage people to visit Southampton to support, engage, and connect with artists of color, as well as supporting art and cultural organizations who are passionate about diversity in the arts.


The weekend will consist of an art walk, film screening, live music and entertainment, soulful cuisine, supporting local Black-owned businesses, and learning about the Native American Shinnecock tribe.

Sabrina Thompson, also known as Sabjuda, is a filmmaker, entrepreneur, artist, and photojournalist with roots in North Carolina and Brooklyn. For over a decade, she has directed, produced, and edited high-profile projects for prestigious clients, including Warner Brothers, The Recording Academy, Google, AT&T, BET, Roc Nation Sports, the iconic Women’s March, and more. She is the owner of Sabjuda Productions. Her artwork and writing have landed her residencies with Chateau Orquevaux in France, Rosa Rebellion in Austin, and a global fellowship wth Soho House. Sabjuda founded The Ridiculous Ones to honor and mourn her late grandmother, Olivia Gibson, fondly known as O.G., whom she styled and photographed from 2015 until her passing in 2021.


ARTBOii is a multifaceted Jamaican born artist whose creative work includes, film, photography, graphic design, music, mixed medium paintings etc. Passionate about visual storytelling & conceptual art, Danangelowe continues to expand his horizon in the direction of becoming a multimedia artist and creative director.

In a quest to continuously understand life and its fundamental truths, ARTBOii's art often poses a question to its audience. This element can be found in his philosophy that art should not provide the viewer with an answer to their curiosity but rather enable them to find their own truths through questioning and reasoning with oneself.

LIVE PERFORMANCE by , flutist for Erykah Badu band. Kerr is a brilliant flutist who is moving the flute into other genres of music not often explored. Raised and still residing on Long Island, New York, Kerr attended New York colleges Nassau Community College, SUNY-Stony Brook and SUNY-Old Westbury, where he was trained classically and in jazz. His masterful mix of sounds and grooves is the memorable variable that makes flutist Dwayne Kerr, of the Erykah Badu Band (Neda Stela), a rising figure in contemporary music today.


PHOTO EXPERIENCE with photographer Kurt Leggard, who will be capturing the magic as he guides you to pose and show off your fashion style on the red carpet. Kurt is the owner of PhotographyByKurt, a full service photography service covering events throughout the Hamptons and New York City.

PRIVATE MUSEUM TOUR of - an art space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, located on the SHINNECOCK INDIAN RESERVATION. Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio Inc. is led by Indigenous artist . The project began in June 2020 and serves as a communal art space based on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation in Southampton, New York.


The family house, built in the 1960s, now features a residency program for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artists, a shared art studio, and a communal library, along with hosting an array of art and history-based programs for tribal members and the broader local community.

DAMIEN DAVIS is a Newark-based artist and educator. His practice explores representation and identity through a visual language that recontextualizes symbols from diverse cultures, challenging historical narratives and inviting new interpretations.

He devotes his musical gift to expand the awareness of West African history and culture, spread the word of peace, and empower his listeners to take charge and realize their imagined futures. His performances have a magical effect on audiences as he skillfully transforms traditional songs and stories that he learned from his forefathers into modern day messages of peace, love, and harmony. Yacouba exposes new audiences to the enchanting sounds of the kora—a 21-stringed instrument that is plucked and produces a distinctive sound that is quickly associated with West Africa.
