Softening into Open Heart and Mind with Carol Lewis This series of guided meditations is inspired by art in the Harn collections and led by expert facilitators with years of experience. Take a break from your regular schedule to slow down, experience stillness, and re-charge. Forty-five minutes of guided meditation is followed by an art spotlight tour.
This session will offer an opportunity to soften the mind and body in preparation for an open-hearted art experience after the mindfulness practice. Spoken word and sound as well as focused breathing will help mind and body soften, letting go of what isn’t needed.
Facilitator: Carol Lewis is a clinical psychologist who was previously a faculty member in the University of Florida Department of Psychiatry. She continues to work with the University of Florida’s Mobile Outreach Clinic and developed the Community Wellbeing Mentor program. Carol uses focused breathing and mindfulness extensively in her clinical work and in her personal practice.
