About this Event
Introduce your children ages 3–8 to the fascinating world of ceramic repair in this hands-on workshop. Learn about how our conservators repair ceramics at the museum as well as some traditional repair techniques, such as the Japanese practice of kintsugi, or gold lacquer repairs. Children and their caregivers will tour the exhibition , practice conservation skills by solving artwork puzzles, and then create kintsugi-inspired artwork to take home.
This is an in-person event. A virtual version of this family workshop will take place on April 27, 2025.
When registering, please register for one ticket per person (kids and adults). Based on limited capacity in the gallery and classroom, this will help give us an accurate count.
There are two sessions, each lasting about 1.5 hours. Please register for the session that would work best with your schedule.
