art after hours: 3 december

Every wednesday, the art gallery of nsw stays open later for its 'art after hours' program.

We'll start the evening with drinks at the library bar at the state library, before heading over to the gallery for some late-night culture. The gallery is free to enter and the evening blends art with pop-up performances and drop-in workshops.

For $35, you can also visit the 'dangerously modern: australian women artists in europe 1890–1940' exhibition. It's the first major exhibition to focus on the role of several important australian women artists in the emergence of international modernism, and features more than 200 paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture and ceramics.
