Arrowe Park Light Up A Loss Ceremony for Baby Loss Awareness Week
Join us at Wirral Women And Children's Hospital for a special evening to mark the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2024. Our ceremony will light up the night with lanterns to honour sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and grandchildren who left too soon. We can come together to remember and support those who have ever experienced the loss of a baby . Together, we can create a space for reflection, healing, and solidarity. Let's light up the darkness with love and remembrance.
Once registered for the event we will send you a luminating lantern and accessories for you to decorate, write your babies name on or simply just bring along on the evening. We aim to light hundreds of lanterns with flameless candles around the outdoors of the Women & Children's Building to commerate our babies gone to soon.
The evening will be filled with music from Sing Me Merseyside Choir and some readings of poetry from our staff. There will also be a memorial display filled with the names of our little ones. If you don't feel able to make the event but would like your babies name added to the memorial please either email [email protected] or complete the a registration for attendance and select the appropriate box.
There will be some refreshments provided. Seperate parking will be at the back of the hospital for free in Car Parks G & H. We recommend dressing warmly and wearing appropriate footwear as this is an outdoor event.
