About Women of Askeran:
The Women of Askeran began as a grassroots initiative in Askeran, Artsakh, where women came together to support one another through economic and community-building efforts.
Despite the hardships of war, they built livelihoods through culinary arts, agriculture, and small business development, creating opportunities not only for themselves but also for their wider community. They established workshops, organized skill-sharing programs, and provided a space for women to gather, learn, and rebuild.
After being forcibly removed from their homes, rather than let their work come to an end, they continued their initiative in Yerevan, ensuring that displaced women could still find opportunities to become financially independent. Today, they focus on helping women turn their skills into sustainable livelihoods.
Donations will directly fund workshops, training programs, and essential resources for women, providing them with the tools and skills needed to earn their livelihood with dignity.
The Women of Askeran is more than just an organization—it is a testament to the resilience and strength of women who refuse to let displacement define their futures. Through their collective efforts, they are not only securing their futures but also supporting their families and communities, and ensuring that the traditions and culture of Artsakh continue to thrive for generations to come.
