Early evening:
'Around the World in 80 Days' adapted by Laura Easson and directed by Jenny Tamplin.
This great tale based on Jules Verne's original work tells of Phineas Fogg's attempt to win a wager made in his London club that by all means available he can circle the globe in 80 days. This is a great fun piece of theatre for all the family.
Late evening: 'How I Learned To Drive' by Paula Vogel and directed by Hannah Fitzpatrick.
The story follows the strained, sexual relationship between Li'l Bit and her aunt's husband, Uncle Peck, from her pre-adolescence through her teenage years into college and beyond. Using the metaphor of driving the play explores the ideas of control and manipulation. A strong piece of theatre this play won Vogel the Pulitzer Prize and played to high acclaim on Broadway winning many awards.
