Arise Chair YogaThe Arise Chair Yoga practice is suitable for those who find it difficult to get up and down from the floor, are recovering from injury or curious! It is a gentle flow style yoga practice linking breath and movement. We will begin seated on a chair for the traditional beginning of a yoga practice: arrival, setting of intention and establishment of movement with breath. After exploration of the body through movement we come to standing for a strength building and balance series. During this series the chair is used for support as necessary. The practice ends seated in the chair for stretching and relaxation. The guided yoga sequences are chosen to increase range of motion, enhance flexibility and improve balance. Modifications are offered throughout. The Arise Chair Yoga practice is appropriate for all levels of yoga experience and fitness.
