The 6 week content for the Tango fundamentals course is designed, tried and tested over 15 years and targeted for anyone from absolute beginners right through to anyone looking to brush up and revisit their key foundation and technique. Classes will consists of a 45 minute class followed by a 30 minute Practice.

�Week 5�'The Sandwich'��Week 6 Practilonga�Recap & A very light hearted look at etiquette for a social dance night, we will set out certain scenarios on how a milonga (social dance night) works. (How to ask for a dance using the Cabeceo and mirada (nod of the head), how not to get a dance :-), how to enter the floor, how to navigate). “Praticlonga” week 6 and we have a social night for getting together, socializing with your new found Tango friends and practising what you have learned in a setting that is as close to a social tango dance night as you can get without any pressure! and gently dipping your toes into this wonderful scene!
This course is designed to get you started on your Traditional Tango journey, with an easy to digest and progressive teaching style, by week 6 you will be dancing all the above sequences with plenty of practice time at the end of each class (it is called a “practica”), with This course is also designed for any level of dancer who wishes to build on their foundation/technique, we aim to give your tango a targeted boost towards socially dancing tango.
Tailored Tango was founded by Darren and Zoe Taylor, Tailored tango, Midlands Alternative Tango , El Cuarto Sabado ( the 4th Saturday), 'Best of Both Worlds', Tango Northampton. They have groan from humble beginnings into a vibrant hub for Argentine tango LOVERS.
Darren and Zoe are a very unique all round package, due to their absolute love of this dance and years of experience both of them can dance and teach four different styles of Tango.
Traditional, Milonga, Vals & Nuevo and both can lead and follow in them all.
They run class nights, milongas & weekenders across the Midlands and beyond. ��Darren's first love is Traditional Tango and has been teaching & Djing in the UK for 18 years, his
understanding of the dance, technique and music is a very unique gift, his ability to break down
and communicate easily and clearly every nuance of this dance. He also is a Traditional Tango
DJ, Djing for many tango venues up and down the country.
In 2016 Zoe joined him in teaching after learning for many years, her ability, attention to detail.
Understanding and clear teaching techniques, alongside lead and follow in all 4 styles also makes her also a unique teaching talent. Zoe is also one of the best Alternative/Nuevo DJ in the UK, DJing many different events around the UK.
