Bio:
Originally from Cali, Colombia, I have been passionate about dance from an early age. My formative training included ballet and contemporary dance, along with deep explorations in butoh, Afro rhythms, folklore, and salsa. I began my professional career as a tango dancer and teacher in 2010, grounding my training in the Sistema Dinzel®, founded by Rodolfo and Gloria Dinzel. This pedagogical system emphasizes improvisation, technique, musicality, expression, communication, and movement dynamics. Rodolfo and Gloria Dinzel were influential figures in the international tango community, founders of Studio Dinzel and C.E.T.B.A. (Centro Educativo del Tango de Buenos Aires), and contributors to the iconic show Tango Argentino.
After seven years of study within the Sistema Dinzel®, I continued expanding my education by training with a wide range of teachers in Buenos Aires, deepening my understanding of tango while refining my own approach. My teaching experience includes institutions such as Studio Dinzel, C.E.T.B.A. (where I also graduated as a Tango Instructor in 2011), Escuela Mundial de Tango GE, and major events including the Festival y Mundial de Tango de Buenos Aires.
I have been invited to teach, perform, and serve as a jury member at tango festivals and competitions in Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Mexico, and the United States. My work is characterized by a strong emphasis on structure, musical interpretation, connection, and improvisation.
Now based in Chattanooga, I bring my international experience into a focused and thoughtful tango program designed to support each dancer’s development. My classes offer a clear, grounded approach to tango, encouraging students to build body awareness, refine technique, and explore personal expression within the shared language of the dance.
