About Irina & Sergio:
Irina and Sergio have been dancing Argentine Tango since the early 2000s. They met dancing Argentine Tango in Mexico City and been dancing together since 2008. Through the years they had opportunities to study with some internationally recognized Maestros from Argentina such as Osvaldo Zotto & Lorena Ermocida, El Pulpo, Luciano Brigante, Javier Rodriguez, Neri Piliu & Yanina Quinones, Celina Rotundo & Hugo Patyn.
Sergio started with stage tango. He was inspired to learn by the movie "Tango Lessons". He has been performing, choreographing and teaching since before he met Irina.
Irina's focus was always on improvisation on the social dance floor, but she experimented with performing as well. During their early years as a couple, they were dancers for the local Mexican tango orchestra "Los Pibes" as well as dancers at the Argentine restaurant "La Biela".
In Tulsa, they have taught Argentine Tango in studios such as Ballroom Blitz, Strictly Ballroom, Casa Tango, as well as private classes. They currently are focused on growing social tango community in Tulsa and hosting some local Milongas
(Argentine Tango Social Dances).
